These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by SPR Protect, a partnership operating in the United Kingdom. By engaging our services—whether through our website, in writing, or verbally—you agree to be legally bound by these terms.
These terms apply to all services offered by SPR Protect, including but not limited to:
Security system installation
CCTV system installation and maintenance
Alarm and fire detection systems
General property maintenance
Emergency and urgent repairs
All quotations provided by SPR Protect are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Unless specifically noted, all quoted amounts are inclusive of materials, labour, VAT (if applicable), and other foreseeable costs. We do not apply hidden fees. Should we encounter unforeseen complications during the course of our work, or if the scope of the project changes beyond the original agreement, this may result in adjustments to the quoted amount. In such cases, we will always inform the customer of any changes and obtain their agreement before proceeding.
Initial consultations are free of charge, subject to a fair use policy. Additional charges may apply for extended site visits, detailed surveys, or diagnostic callouts, especially where these services exceed typical consultation parameters or arise from issues not caused by our workmanship. Callout charges apply.
For works or services quoted at over £1000, SPR Protect reserves the right to request a deposit of our choosing before commencement. This will be agreed upon in advance. The balance of deposits and final payments is due within 14 days from the relevant invoice date.
Invoices may be issued at the completion of works or at staged intervals of our choosing, as communicated in advance. Payments may be made via BACS transfer or any other method specified on the invoice. Other accepted payment methods include credit/debit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, cheque, or cash. Please note that payments made by credit card may be protected under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. Payments made via other methods may not offer the same protection. Additionally, payments made through credit/debit card, mobile payment platforms, PayPal, or cash may be subject to a small processing fee.
Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Where payment is not received within the stated terms, we reserve the right to initiate recovery proceedings through the small claims court or other appropriate legal channels. Any legal costs or administrative fees incurred in pursuing outstanding debts may also be charged to the client, in accordance with relevant legislation and court procedures.
SPR Protect may issue refunds in situations where:
The agreed scope of work has changed after a deposit or payment was made;
An overpayment has occurred; or
A cancellation has been agreed before significant costs have been incurred.
All refund decisions are made fairly and reasonably, taking into account the specific circumstances of each case.
Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment wherever practicable. Where this is not possible, refunds will be issued via bank transfer to a verified UK bank account. Clients may be asked to confirm payment details to ensure secure processing. Unless otherwise agreed, all refunds will be issued within 14 days from the date the final invoice or credit note is approved by both parties.
SPR Protect reserves the right to deduct from any refund:
The value of services already provided;
The cost of materials purchased or ordered; and
Any reasonable expenses or time committed prior to the refund being agreed.
In cases where services have already been delivered or partially completed, the refunded amount will reflect only the unused or undelivered portion of the original agreement.
If payment was made via credit/debit card, PayPal, Google/Apple Pay, or similar third-party providers, non-refundable processing fees already incurred by SPR Protect may be deducted from the refund amount. Where applicable, refunds made by credit card may benefit from additional protection under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
All refunds are issued in GBP (£ Pound Sterling). SPR Protect is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations, international banking charges, or any additional fees imposed by the client’s financial institution.
Once a customer has accepted a quotation and confirmed commencement of works, a binding agreement is formed. We do not usually charge for cancellations, but we reserve the right to apply a cancellation fee if materials have already been purchased or preparatory costs incurred.
This also applies to emergency or urgent repair work, which may require immediate resourcing.
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. We always strive to accommodate reasonable requests.
All work carried out by SPR Protect is covered by a one-year limited warranty on labour and workmanship from the completion date. This is in addition to any manufacturer warranties on products installed.
Our warranty does not cover:
Misuse, neglect, or tampering by third parties
Wear and tear or external damage
Products not supplied or installed by SPR Protect
Please notify us of any issue promptly, so we can investigate and, if appropriate, resolve it.
SPR Protect is fully insured with public and professional liability cover.
We shall not be liable for:

Delays caused by third parties or uncontrollable events (e.g. weather, shortages)
Loss or corruption of security/CCTV data unless due to our negligence
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be excluded under law.
Customers must provide clear and safe access to areas requiring work. It is the customer's responsibility to obtain any necessary permissions (e.g. landlord or planning consent).

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
SPR Protect shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control. This includes (but is not limited to): acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labour strikes, pandemic-related restrictions, supply chain disruption, or government actions.
All designs, specifications, documentation, and related intellectual property created by SPR Protect in the course of delivering services remain the property of SPR Protect unless explicitly transferred in writing.
SPR Protect reserves the right to subcontract any part of the services provided. All subcontractors will be required to comply with SPR Protect’s standards and obligations under these Terms.
SPR Protect reserves the right to refuse or discontinue any work or service if it is considered unsafe, unlawful, or beyond the scope of our expertise. Additionally, we reserve the right to terminate the service relationship if a client behaves in a manner that is abusive, threatening, or otherwise unreasonable, preventing us from conducting our work professionally and safely.
SPR Protect is not responsible for pre-existing structural issues, hazardous materials (including but not limited to asbestos), or non-disclosed site conditions that impede safe or compliant installation. Additional costs may apply for remediation or workarounds.
